Sometimes life changes, you change, circumstances change.
But it can be difficult to accept these things when they happen. We can become so attached to whatever was going on in the past, that we refuse to accept reality. We refuse to see things how they are.
That’s called “dissociation”.
It’s a place we can all get trapped in.
When mulling over changes, we get caught in the spiral of “I spent so much time doing…” or “But that’s how things are supposed to turn out”. These frigid frames keep you clutched to something that is no longer serving you.
You must be willing to let go.
You must face the pain and grief of letting the past be just that — the past.
When you do accept things have changed is when the future re-opens to you. The universe hears your sacrifice, and begins to work in your favor. It accepts what you have offered.
But it’s not easy.
And change is not immediate.
It takes time for the effects of change to set in. During that period you must focus on moving forward, and not running back toward “what was”. If you do, your pain will be illuminated.
